Sunday Stamper - Week 189 - Eyes
This is for Hel's Blog Sunday Stampers.
When I saw the title was "Eyes" I immediately thought of a stamp set I have by Invoke Arts, Dream Face Blocks (8312). I used Tim Holtz's method of colouring fragments with alcohol inks then stamping on the alcohol ink side of the fragments with Archival Ink from Rangers then immediatley wiping off the ink and you are left with clear spaces where the stamp's image was. Now I got some white card and put Glossy Accents around the edge of the alcohol inked side of the fragments and glued them to the card. When the glue was set I cut out the fragments attached to the white card. I was thinking of placing them on a craft tag but then I showed it to my husband and he suggested using a canvas. I already had a 4"x4" canvas which I had previously painted using Adirondack Dabber (citrus) and I thought the fragments stood out well against the citrus paint.
I used the internet to look up song titles with the word "Eyes" and thought this James Bond title "For Your Eyes Only" suited the "Eyes" project. I used Sizzex long die for the letters with black card.
This was a very short project compared to the last two Sundays but I think it's very effective. I enjoyed myself doing this project.
