Kate Crane's 366 Day Challenge

May is here, how the time flies. In my A5 journalling diary I did a similar page (the image below) using the same colours of lime green, pink and yellow acylic paints, but this time a was able to produce a different appearance by not using white.

This is a picture of my May page before I added any elements to it.

I stamped the page with Tim Holtz's Stampers Anonymous School Desk in Archival Ink. I used a Craft Creations template for the diamonds in gesso and then using my Cricut machine I cut out diamonds from black paper but it all seemed overpowered by the black diamonds so I redid it using diamond borders. This looked much better allowing the background to show inside the diamonds, giving the page a lighter feel.

The above picture shows the stamping from the School Desk set, the black diamonds, the Alphabet Stamps from my stash to spell the word MAY and the Penny Black stamp of the flower.

Below is my completed April page. The year is really moving on. I love doing this journal, I have never kept a diary before and I hope to keep it going for the whole year.
