Sunday Stamper - Week 191 - Heart On My Sleeve

On Hel's Blog Sunday Stamper she showed some lovely cards that she had made for a Create and Craft show, I didn't have any cards to make because they were all up at my caravan, so I decided to make something different. The last time she was on Create and Craft demonstrating Studio 490 products I bought a Sample Pack of Art Parts (Wendy Vecchi) and a stamp set "Live and Make Art" and I decided to use them for my Sunday Stamper project.

I decided to make a spool with flowers, leaves and hearts.  Firstly I covered parts of the spool from the Sample Pack in paper and then assembled it. As I was looking at it I thought that it would look nicer by adding some lace from my stash.

I glued some paper onto the Modeling Film from Studio 490, stamped out the two flowers from "Live and Make Art" and then cut them out. The Modeling Film has a special quality that when heated up the petals or leaves can be repositioned making a more 3D appearance.

Using the same method I produced the leaves using Dylusions "Around the Edge" stamps and the hearts from a stamp I found in my stash. I assembled them together to make a pleasing flower arrangement. I felt as though it needed a little something extra so I added a couple of pre-cut hearts.

Looking at it from the left.

And looking at it from the right.

I have to thank Hels for her Create and Craft demonstration because I wouldn't have been able to do this project without it. Thanks Hels! Good teacher.
