Kate Crane's 2012 366 challenge - February

This month I coloured the paper using a credit card to scrap the paint onto the paper. First I used red, then pink and then white, although the white appeared as a lighter pink. I sprayed Glimmer Mist in Candy Apple Red to make the page sparkle. I used heart printed lilac paper because it's the month of love and I distressed the edges with distressed ink's - milled lavender.

I stamped the words "February 2012 and Leap Year" and the hearts were done using a stamp that was free in the Craft Stamper magazine.

When we were courting my husaband used to draw pictures of Snoopy for me on our study notes when we were at university together. I came across these Snoopy stamps and I used them to make him a Valentine's card because I thought it would bring back lovely memoriesof those early days together and he was really touched by the sentiment.
Now all that is left is for me to fill in each day on the calender.

I loved the tags Carol. Very original use of the bubble technique.
And your flower 'sculpture' is lovely too.
Do you fill in the 'pages' of your calendar? XXX

  3. Beautiful! The Snoopy stamps caught my eye and then I read your post - ahhhhh! I LOVE the credit card technique for spreading paint don't you? Your colours look fabulous. Well done for keeping up so far! (Sorry it took me a while to visit - over 100 entries this month!) Kate x
