Simon Says Stamp and Show ... Some Inspiration Studio 490!
This is a very special weekend for my husband and me as we are celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. How the time has flown by! My husband wanted to buy me a pearl gift and I decided I would like a pearl ring since I still wear the ear rings that he bought me when we were 19 year old students. (I am pretty cheap to maintain. Apart from my craft supplies..... )
I started with the large ring from Art Parts sample pack. I cut out a piece of card, the size of the ring and stamped it with Studio 490 Sentimental Art with the lace stamp and Dabber acrylic paint Pearl. I dried the paint and then I went over it with several distress inks, Fired Brick, Barn Door and Festive Berries with my distress tool. The rim of the ring I also painted with Dabber in pearl and then attached the background card to the ring.
I used two Art Part leaves which I distressed with distress ink Pine Needles. The flower came from Art Parts Florals and I covered it with paper from Tim Holtz's Lost and Found, I put a pearl button from the Tim Holtz's Idea-ology Accoutrements Fanciful in the centre of the flower. Using my hot glue gun I glued the two leaves and the flower to the rim. Around the rim, I embelished it with stick on pearls.
I completed the project with a photograph of my pearl ring and a sentiment from Sentimental Art "I will love you forever and a day". We are so chuffed to have been married for thirty years.
This is my entry for Simon Says Stamp and Show ... Some Inspiration Studio 490!

Me again! Just in case you miss it on my blog: the die I used for my tag was a Sizzix Bigz called 'Decorative Accent #11'. Bought it cheap on Ebay so worth a look!
