Sunday Stamper - Week 208 - Her Majesty
On Hels blog she decided to make the theme red, white and blue. I made this on Thursday but I only got round to putting it up today. I did the background of the tag in Distress Ink - weathered wood and stormy sky. I used the cutter around the edge and put distress stain picket fence and around the edge I used distress ink vintage photo. For the ribbon I used Distress stain weathered wood.
For the Tim Holtz balloon I stamped it out 3 times with Ranger Archival ink in black. The first one I cut out in full leaving the balloon white. In the 2nd one I cut out the blue section and used my Distress pen to colour it in blue. For 3rd one I cut out the center section and coloured it in with a barn door pen. Once the 3 sections were done I stuck them together using sticky foam pads to give it a 3D effect.
I tried out using the distress pens but the paper I used wasn't suitable but I suppose it would have given a better effect if I had used distress inks.
To make the saying I cut out words I had stamped from Tim Holtz's Stuff to Say stamp.
I stamped a ticket out from Tim Holtz's Odds and Ends stamp collection and attached it to the tag using a mini paper-clip. I know it isn't very regal but I thought by Thursday that the Jubilee celebrations were over so I just stuck to the red, white and blue theme.

Hi Carol, I love your tag, the colours are perfect and you have used my all time favourite stamp too.
ReplyDeleteOh what fun!! I like the layering on the ballon!!
ReplyDeleteLove this one Carol. I think there is still a bit of Jubilee celebration there. I think the Queen is up in the balloon but she's hiding from the cameras by crouching down in the basket. Really inventive.
